GREENSBORO - Mrs. Halcy Stanley McCuiston Stafford, 92, passed away Friday, February 15, 2008, at Evergreens Senior Healthcare.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, at Rehobeth United Methodist Church. A private burial will preceed the memorial service.
Halcy was born on January 2, 1916, in Guilford County to William Martin Stanley and Mollie Clark Stanley. She attended Sumner High School. Halcy was a faithful member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church for 82 years. She was a past member of the Charles Stokes Group and the United Methodist Women. She was a very talented seamstress and retired from Jones Furrier.
Surviving relatives include daughters, Jane McCuiston Bagwell and husband, Jim of Spartanburg, S.C. and Cathy McCuiston Beaver and husband, Gene of Greensboro; grandchildren, Adam Beaver of Greensboro, Matthew McCuiston of Elizabeth City, N.C., Patrick McCuiston of Tumwater, Washington, Phillip McCuiston of Montreal, Canada, Thomas McCuiston of Montreal, Canada, and Tammy Smutzer of Fountain Inn, S.C., sisters, Francis Cable and Mildred Davis of Greensboro.
In addition to her parents, Halcy was preceded in death by her husband, David Hilton "Dock" McCuiston, husband, Marion Stafford, and son, David McCuiston.
