      Aubrey Harrison Pate, 88, of Richardson, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at his home in Richardson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 13, at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, November 14, at the Memorial Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
      Aubrey was born in Buffalo, Texas, to the late Tom and Myrtle Pate. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and an ordained Baptist Deacon. Aubrey retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1977, after 39 years of service. He married Mary Lou McCuistion on November 23, 1940, and they spent 41 wonderful years together. After Mary Lou's death, Aubrey married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Baker on November 12, 1982. Dorothy and Aubrey were inseparable. Aubrey's life was a celebration of his love for the Lord and his family.
      Aubrey was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou; sister, Ruth O'Bannon; and brother, Joyce Pate.
      Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pate, of Richardson; daughter, Marilynn Gimble and husband, Dick, of Waco; sons, Ron Pate and wife, Debbie, of El Paso, and Keith Pate and wife, Eleanor, of Waco; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Loyce Morris, of Oxnard, Calif., and Carmelita Pate, of Buffalo; brother, Bob Pate, of Mission; other relatives and many friends.
