      Richard Mark McCuiston, age 55, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at his residence in Murrells Inlet.

      Born in Greensboro, NC, Mark was the son of the late Richard B McCuiston and June Sorrells McCuiston. Mark loved the beach. An avid surfer, his passion was the ocean and its waves.

      Survivors include his loving wife of 7 years, Donna McCuiston; children, Taylor McCuiston, Phoenix, AZ; Marguerite McCuiston, Winston-Salem, NC; Bowman McCuiston, Wilmington, NC; Mikaela Pellerin, Wilmington, NC; sister, Cindy Dawsey, Myrtle Beach; nieces, Hannah Moore, Myrtle Beach, Holly Dawsey, Manhattan, NY; loving pets, Maggie & Ella.

      A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Burroughs Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to the service time.

      Mr. Richard Benjamin (Dicky) McCuiston died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Beacon Place after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. Mr. McCuiston is survived by his wife of 55 years, June Sorrells McCuiston, and children Cindy M. Dawsey of Myrtle Beach, SC and R. Mark McCuiston of Garden City, SC. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Hannah Moore (Tommy), Holly Dawsey, Taylor McCuiston, Marguerite Ramm and Bowman McCuiston and 2 great grandsons, Benjamin and Eli, sister, Susie Love (Bob).
      Mr. McCuiston graduated from Greensboro Senior High and attended Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He retired from H.B. Fuller Company of St. Paul, MN. He is a member of Greensboro Elks Lodge 602, a 32 Degree Mason and a member of Oasis Shrine.
      Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2013 at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home, Guilford Chapel, from 5pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beacon Place Hospice, 2502 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
