      Clitherall (sp) Herman Carter was born near Oxford, Ark., on May 24, 1887. He departed this life at a Little Rock, Ark., hospital on February 20, 1958 at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 28 days.
      He was united in marriage to Edith Beaver at Violet Hill, Ark. on November 29 (unclear) 1909 and to this union three children were born. After the death of his first wife, he united in marriage to Amy Beaver at Violet Hill, Ark., in January of 1920 and to this union five children were born.
      He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of Wenatchee, Wash.; five sons, Cecil of Cashmere, Wash., Hir of Wideman, Ark., Eugene of Seattle, Wash., Xenophon and Thomas both of Wenatchee, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs Avis Hinson of Oxford, Ark., Mrs Wanda Morin of Auburn, Wash., and Mrs Willie Ray O'Neal of Wenatchee, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
      Mr Carter had been a member of the Baptist Church since he was a young man.
