1705 | Monroe Milburn Tipton was born in Optimus, Arkansas on February 23, 1921 to Vollie and Ethel Tipton. He left this earth on November 12, 2020 at the age of 99 3/4 years old. He married the love of his life, Edna Mae Allen, on August 19, 1941, they were together for 76 years. Monroe and Edna had four children, Gerald, Dale, Velma, and Nelda. Monroe was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army 81st Infantry Division. He spent his life wearing many hats including flight line mechanic at Douglas Aircraft; auto-body man; Daylight Donut shop owner; Catoosa Police Officer; volunteer fire fighter; scrap metal man; and wonderful father and grandfather. Monroe loved playing his guitar and singing, he sang in several quartets. He loved playing bingo, dominos, fishing, metal detecting, and golf. Monroe was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; his son, Dale; his grandson, Erik; two great grandsons; and other family members. He leaves behind three children, Gerald, Velma, and Nelda; two daughters-in-love, Sue and Freda; two sons-in-love, Mark and Keith; one brother, J.C. Born April 16, 1938, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Clarence and Irene (Ringer) McKibben. She was preceded in death on Dec. 24, 2021, by her husband of 65 years, James E. "Mac" McQuiston, whom she married Sept. 8, 1956. Nancy graduated from New Castle High School in 1956. She was a homemaker who loved to sew, read books, cook, babysit, shop and go for walks. Nancy had a passion for working with children and was always up for a game of hide and seek. She was a faithful and active member of Grace United Methodist Ministry/Croton location, where she was the chairwoman of funeral dinners and was a communion steward. Nancy's love for children was most evident when she helped with "King's Kids Club." She never missed the opportunity to hug each child and tell them that she loved them, and God did, too. She is survived by four daughters, Carol (Ralph) Delio, Millie (Merle) Glass and Dianna (Todd) Esposito, all of New Castle, and Kathy Oxley of Rayland, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Paula McKibben of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, and Patricia (Richard) Diana of Carmel, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Rashelle (Scott) Maderitz, Brock (Meghan) Glass, Ralph "RJ" Delio, Stephanie (Tim) Pander, Danielle (Jeff) Brown, Matthew Frakes (fiancée Makenna Carle) and Vince Esposito; and six great-grandchildren, Aria, Brooke, Silas, Sawyer, Matteo and Margo. 1733 | Nancy McQuiston (nee Estrada) was born in Philadelphia on September 12, 1932. She was the daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth (Mack) Estrada. She grew up in Mount Airy with her two brothers Herbie and Bob, whom she adored. She graduated from Germantown High School. Following high school, Nancy enrolled at West Chester University where she earned a teaching degree and met her future husband, Henry McQuiston. Nancy thrived in college and had may friends and participated in many activities. Her college roommates became her lifelong friends. They were bridesmaids in each other’s weddings, went on trips together and stayed close throughout the years. After graduation, Nancy began her career as a first-grade teacher. It was a profession that she loved. In 1956 Nancy and Henry were married. They moved to King of Prussia where they lived for the rest of their lives. Nancy cultivated a beautiful garden at their property on Regimental Road. She also enjoyed spending time with her neighbors who became great friends. Nancy was the devoted mother of three children: Bruce, Pat (Michael) Arizin and Kate (Bryson Jhung). She always supported their endeavors and was a positive and encouraging presence in their lives. She also had a very special relationship with her grandchildren, who called her “Ena”. She had many hobbies and talents including: gardening, playing the piano, painting and drawing, making delicious desserts, teaching exercise classes at the YMCA, storytelling, and puzzle solving. She also enjoyed reading, watching the Phillies and Flyers, exercising, playing games and cards and spending time with her family. Nancy was very smart, friendly, enthusiastic, and funny. She was not judgmental and always had a big smile. She overcame many health challenges and never let them hold her back. She was a brave, independent, happy person. All who knew her were blessed to have her in their lives.
