| 2469 | William Wayne Vanbebber October 12, 1940 - January 6, 2017 WILLIAM WAYNE VANBEBBER William Wayne Vanbebber, 76, of Richmond, MO died on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond. Wayne was born on October 12, 1940 in Richmond, the son of W.L.“Bill” and Lillian Allen (Waller) Vanbebber. Wayne was united in marriage to Linda K. McKown of Richmond on June 20, 1965; she survives of the home. Additional survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Wayne and Marcie Vanbebber of Lee’s Summit, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy Lynn and Mark John Haley of Richmond; six grandchildren, Marley Mae Vanbebber, Demi Rose Vanbebber, Lily Jane Vanbebber, Maclin Charles Vanbebber, Hunter William Haley and Katelyn Mary Haley. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Leston Vanbebber. Wayne graduated from the Richmond High School in the Class of 1958. He owned and operated Van’s Furniture and Floor Covering in Richmond from 1958 to 1980. He also traveled as a manufacturing representative for Bishop Furniture. He worked with Jim Rippy at Remax in Richmond for 19 years. While working, Wayne was also an active member of the community, with his memberships being, a lifelong Boy Scout, Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Rotary, Jaycee’s(President twice), Richmond Historical Society, initiated the Adopt A Highway Program in Richmond, Army National Guard (Mess Sargent 10 years) , Richmond American Legion Post #237 and a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church. He drove a school bus for Fowler Bus Line in Richmond. Wayne enjoyed showing horses with his wife and was Horse Chairman for the Palomino Exhibitors of Missouri. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and doing civic projects. He was a lifelong Richmond, Mo resident. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to either the Richmond United Methodist Church or to Shirkey Hospice. A memorial service and celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Richmond United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. | 2470 | William Wayne “Buco” McQuiston Jr., 34, of Coral, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. The son of William and Donna (Bailey) McQuiston Sr., he was born Dec. 1, 1977, in Indiana. Bill was a graduate of Homer-Center High School, class of 1996. He had been employed by Center Township. Bill was a member of the Coral-Graceton Sportsmen’s Club. His interests included riding his Harley, hunting, fishing and camping, mowing grass, working on cars and most of all, spending time with his wife and three children. Surviving are his wife, Jennifer (Fisher) McQuiston, whom he wed July 24, 1999, and their children Zachary, Desiree and Chad; his parents William and Donna McQuiston Sr., Homer City; Jennifer’s parents Rich and Diane (Bothell) Fisher, Rochester Mills; sisters Jamie McQuiston, Homer City; Tammy Housholder and husband Matt, Coral; a brother, Rick McQuiston and significant other Tracey Carnahan, Shelocta; sister-in-law Tonya Fisher and significant other Raymond Bowser, Lucernemines; brothers-in-law Robert Fisher and wife Julia, Indiana; and Steve Fisher and significant other Stephanie Rankin, Punxsutawney; nieces Tristen, Alexis and Emily; nephews Tyler, Cody and Dylan; special friends Paul, Stacey, Candy, Leroy, Erica, Darla, Jeff, Tim, Donna, Timmy, Buzzie, Andrew and many other friends. | 2471 | William “Bill” Fredrick Hanson, age 83 of Grand Haven, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at a local care facility. He was born on June 19, 1936 in Royal Oak, MI to the late Milton and Ethel (Bromley) Hanson. Bill graduated from Dondero High School and worked for as an independent electrician, IBEW Local Union 58 for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles, FOE #925 and enjoyed boating, motorcycles, and classic cars. Bill was a very religious man who loved his family and the Lord. Bill is remembered and missed by his daughter, Amy (Mark) Mikula of Grand Haven; two grandsons, Erik (Shuree) Hanson and Andrew Farran; two great-granddaughters, Abygail and Adaline Hanson; sister, Ruth Barron; brothers, John Hanson of Charlevoix, MI and Jerry (Linda) Hanson of Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Mike Lewis. He was preceded in death by two wives, Nancy and Marci; his son, William F. Hanson, Jr.; brother, Richard Hanson; brother-in-law, John Barron; and sister-in-law, Norma Hanson. | 2478 | WINCHENDON-- Earl W. McQueston SR, 100, of Winchendon, Ma., passed of natural causes on Saturday July 30, 2022, at the Alliance Health, Baldwinville, Ma. Earl was born on January 5, 1922 and lived in Winchendon. His parents were the late William M. McQueston and Mary E. McQueston of Winchendon, MA. He was married for 54 years to the late Madeline E. (Niall) McQueston and predeceased by their son Earl W McQueston Jr. Earl survived his brother’s Vernon (Ted) MacQueston, Clarence (Carol) McQueston, and his sister Marylin (McQueston) Rusin. He leaves his son John (Skip) McQueston and his wife Ineabelle (Ini) McQueston His grandchildren: Earl McQueston III, James McQueston, Donna Dunn and husband Chris, Shawn Vaillancourt, and husband Richard, Yentl A. Burgos and Johary McQueston. Seven greatgrandchildren: Brittany, Taylor and Kristen Dunn. Bailey, Denver, and Jewelianna Vaillancourt and Aspen T. McDermott and three great-great grandchildren; Jameson, Nora, and Brayden McAvoy He graduated from Mourdock High School in 1940. While in high school Earl was in the football team, the baseball team, track team, hockey, printing club and Foreign Relations Club. After high school, Earl joined the Army Air Force. He served in Brazil for more than 3 years with the base unit 152 Army Air Force. While in Brazil, Earl would send small articles to the Winchendon Carrier Editor, to be published and give a unique perspective on the Brazilian culture and its involvement in WWII. After November 17, 1945, Earl separated from the military with Honorable Discharged He joined his wife on their new house and started working as a machinist for Goodspeed Machine Co. with the purpose of starting a family. Earl became an important member of the community as a founding member of the Winchendon Rod and Gun Club. He was a proud member of the American Legion. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and competing in dog raises with his two sons. He will always be missed with a smile. She was born in Elwood on July 6, 1926 to Melvin Omer & Mabel (Conway) Dean. On December 29, 1956 she married Gene Wade Cottingham and he preceded her in death on September 20, 1983. Zelpha was a bank teller in Windfall, Tipton and Elwood. She had also worked as a bookkeeper with her husband at their dealership, Cottingham Chevrolet and Olds in Tipton. She was a graduate of Windfall High School, Class of 1946. She had been very active at New Hope Friends, Howard Chapel, Windfall Christian Church and South Marion Friends, all in Indiana, throughout her life. Zelpha enjoyed cross-stitch, crocheting, macramé and sewing. Survivors include one son, Joseph Cottingham and wife Debbie, Tipton; two daughters, Lou Anne Cottingham, Cicero and Suzanne Peebles and husband Roger, Wabash; three grandchildren, Isaac Peebles, Emma Peebles and Kayla Jo Cottingham. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Dwight Lovel Dean, Maurice Emil Dean, James Leroy Dean and Alton Lamaar Dean. Funeral services for Zelpha will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton with Pastor Dave Phillips officiating and burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.
