      CONCORD, Ohio — Helen V. McQuiston, 91, left her home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2015, in Concord, Ohio.
      She was a resident of Concord since 1950. She was born at home on Aug. 22, 1923, in Guys Mills.
      She graduated from Randolph East Mead High School, Class of 1942. She worked at Viscose for 18 years during World War II and at Ohio Rubber Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1988. A member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Concord, Helen was a former member of St. Hippolyte Catholic Church in Frenchtown where she was married to Mervin L. McQuiston.
      Helen is survived by her children, Christine (Grace) Barile of Painesville, Ohio, John McQuiston of Painesville Township, Ohio, and Cynthia Keller of Grand River, Ohio; grandchildren, Heather McQuiston, J.R. Waddell, Alysia Marcotte, Kailie McQuiston and several more beloved grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and their families; her beloved friends, Mary Dolan, Marjorie Sipos and Betty Yursic among other close friends.
      She was preceded in death by her husband and World War II veteran, Mervin L. McQuiston, in 1998; daughter, Rita Worden; grandson, Mark Bognar; parents, Peter and Veronika Kaputa; five brothers and three sisters.
      Friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
      There will be a gathering following at American Legion, Post 336, 60 Chester St., Painesville.
      Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville, where friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Graveside services will be at St. Hippolyte Cemetery in Frenchtown.
