      Corbyn A. Whalen, 22, of Bakerton, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, in Shepherdstown.

      Born July 19, 1987, in Washington, D.C., he is the son of Michael S. Whalen and Mary L. (McCuistion) Whalen, of Bakerton.

      Mr. Whalen worked at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, Shepherdstown, as a bartender.

      He was of the Catholic faith.

      Cobryn was a graduate of Jefferson High School, class of 2005.

      In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Mia Rose Donlon, of Charles Town; paternal grandparents, Ray and Vivian Whalen; sister, Beatrix Rose Whalen; and brother, Evan S. Whalen, all of Bakerton.

      A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, with Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Interment will be at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

      Friends will be received from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home.
