Alexander McQuiston was born on 2 March 1813 in Ireland.³ He immigrated in 1837 to Philadelphia, Chester County, Pennsylvania.⁴ On 27 June 1860 he was a stereotype caster in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.⁵ On 3 June 1870 Alexander was a moulder in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.⁶ He died in 1901 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.³ He has reference number (1-653).

Alexander McQuiston and Martha McGonichle were married about 1852.
