- Funeral services for Donald R. "Don" Edeburn, 62, Sidney will be Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at 10 a.m., at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel, Sidney, with Pastor Susan Twidwell of the Lonsdale United Methodist Church officiating. Music will be provided by Roy Fatzinger on harmonica. Casketbearers will be Wayne Brown, Chad Edeburn, Shane Edeburn, John Haase, Ronald Haase and Dan Sturgis. Honorary casketbearers were all of Dons friends and co-workers. Interment will be at the Elmdale Community Cemetery, under the direction of Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 28. Don died Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Sidney Health Center. Donald Robert Edeburn was born Nov. 7, 1938, to Guy M. and Myrtle J. (Hollum) Edeburn, on the way to the Sidney Hospital. Don grew up and attended Goodwin School and graduated from Richey High School in 1957. Don worked for area farmers. He married Lorna Keller Nov. 21, 1959 in Sidney. They made their home in Sidney, and they worked for Larry Tveit. Don entered the U.S. Army Dec. 15, 1961 and was honorably discharged Dec. 13, 1963. After his discharge, Don started to work for Glayde Yoders service station and then was transferred to the salvage department of Yoder Motors, now Larson Motors. He drove the flat bed truck and sold used parts. Don retired in October 2000 after 35 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Lorna, of Sidney; daughter, Candy V. (Jeff) Stambaugh of Sidney; two sisters, Lenora (Forrest) Brown of Elmdale and Monica (Ray) Short of Martin City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Benny Edenburn.
