      Sgt US Army, RD3 US Coast Guard, World War II and Korea. Husband of Oneda Smith McCuiston.
      WEST POINT W.G. McCuiston, 80, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. He was born June 14, 1920, in Montgomery County to the late Mose W. McCuiston and Pearl Ratliff McCuiston. He was a retired Clay County Superintendent of Education. He received his master’s from Mississippi State University. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion Post 38 and the 40 and 8. He was a member of the Mississippi and Clay County Retired Teachers Association. He was a vocational and agricultural teacher in Union and Clay Counties. He was a member of Starkville Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran and U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.
      Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Nowell-Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. John T. Smithson officiating. Burial will be in West Point Memorial Gardens.
      Survivors include his wife, Oneda McCuiston of West Point; one son, Geary McCuiston of Macon; one daughter, Cherri Musser and her husband, Jack, of Grosse Point Shores, Mich.; one sister, Lucile Leverett of Grenada.
      Pallbearers will be Lynn Davis, Wayne Clements, Dunlap Catledge, Jerry King, Danny Smith, Earl Sanders, Charles Wyatt and Lee Roy Phillips.
      Honorary pallbearers will be Harmon Robinson, Sam Bigham, Melvin Orr, Dr. Bobby Dill, Charles Williams, elders and deacons at Starkville Church of Christ, former employees and friends at the Clay County Courthouse.
      Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
