      Oma Lou McCuistion was born on February 15, 1934, in Hochatown, OK, to Levi & Ollie (Webb) Baker. She departed this life on Saturday, September 14, 2013, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, & 27 days.
      Growing up, Oma attended Eagletown High School. She had lived in Locust Grove since 1952. Oma had worked as a forestry tower observer for 25 years. On March 16, 2003, in Rose, OK, Oma & Bob Compton were united in marriage.
      Oma enjoyed going to church & had been a part of the Rose Community Church. She enjoyed growing flowers & gardening. She also liked to go fishing & embroidering. Oma loved spending time with her family & her friends. She will be missed by all that knew & loved her.
      Oma is survived by: her husband: Bob Compton of Locust Grove, OK; 1 son: James McCuistion & wife Kris of Rose, OK; 4 daughters: Kathy Tomblin & husband Danny of Peggs, OK; Teresa Hollaway & husband Bob of Siloam Springs, AR; Marilyn Schoonover & husband Brad of Blue Springs, MO; & Freda Odle and husband Eugene of Pryor, OK; 10 grandchildren: Johnathan Dixon, Scott Rupe, Beth Reed, Kelli Hudgins, Jeremy Schoonover, Andy McCuistion, Wesley McCuistion, Skye Guhl, Josh McCuistion, & Kendall Odle; 11 great grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & a host of friends. Oma was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband: J.E. McCuistion; 2 brothers: W.L. Baker & Clellon Baker; 1 sister: Mary Williams; 1 daughter: Sherry McCuistion; 1 granddaughter: Lorissa Jaggers; & 1 grandson: Danny Dixon.
      Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the Rose Community Church in Rose. Brother Tom Ragsdale will officiate. Interment will follow at the Rose Cemetery in Rose. Services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
