      Margie Sasnett, 94 of Huntsville, AL passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, son, Mike McQuiston and granddaughter, Jennifer Rutkowski.She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Heath (Don), Susan Smith (Wayne), Becky Ellison (David), Charlene Miller (Herb); sons, Richard Sasnett (Marie) and Warren Sasnett; 18 grandchildren and blessed with many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
      Margie was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on November 12, 1924. She led a wonderful, adventure-filled life. After serving during WWII in the Navy as a WAVE, she married and moved to Huntsville, AL in the mid 1940’s. She was a self-taught piano player, sign painter and was a member of the professional putters association (PPA) where she competed in tournaments across the southeast. Margie had the opportunity to fly on the last Honor Flight for WWII Veterans.
      She was a faithful member of the Endeavor Church for over 45 years, where she served as the church secretary for over 20 years, cheerfully greeting, “God Bless You” to all who called. She also taught Sunday School class, and led hundreds of children to Christ. “Ms. Margie”, as she was affectionately known to all who knew and loved her, had to retire at 92 due to health reasons, but still continued to attend church faithfully until Mother’s Day of this year. Margie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her!
      You may visit with the family on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services, officiated by Pastor George Waller will begin at 3:00pm in Valhalla’s Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Garden of Everlasting Life.
