      McCUISTION, Charlene Daisy Thiele Charlene Daisy Thiele McCuistion was born May 15, 1926, and died October 21, 2017.
      She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Thiele and Cleora Thiele Sanders. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Harold G. McCuistion, and eldest son, Roger D. McCuistion.
      Charlene met Harold in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1945, and he then took her as his war time bride to Spring City, Tennessee where they lived happily and raised a family on a farm on the Tennessee River for 23 years.
      In 1969, they moved to Seguin, Texas before finally locating in Nordheim, Texas where he was a vocational agriculture teacher until his retirement. After Harold passed away, Charlene lived in Farmers Branch, Texas followed by Austin, Texas where she resided with her daughter, Pam Mitchell, and son-in-law, John.
      Survivors include her son Bart McCuistion of Knoxville, Tennessee, her daughter Pam Mitchell and her husband John of Austin, Texas, and her son Kevin McCuistion of Austin, Texas. Other survivors include her daughter-in-law Agatha McCuistion of Virginia Beach, Virginia, beloved wife of Roger, and grandchildren Jeff McCuistion (Christy) of Richmond, Virginia and Nancy Horner of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her great grandchildren include Alex Cooper, Cameron McCuistion, Kyle McCuistion, Abby Horner, and John Horner as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
      Charlene's funeral service will be held at Harrell Funeral Homes, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas on Monday, October 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. Burial services to follow at Kyle Cemetery. For those desiring to honor her memory and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
