      Alice Baggerman
      Alice Rhoda Baggerman of Portland, a former longtime resident of Lane County, died Oct. 7 at age 90. The family chose not to list the cause of death. A private service is planned.
      She was born Aug. 19, 1920, in LaRue, Texas, to Anthony and Lillie Alexander Haynes. She married James Baggerman on Sept. 27, 1943, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He died April 13, 2007.
      She graduated from Lapoyner High School in LaRue, Texas and held a bachelor of science degree from Texas State College for Women. She worked as an elementary school teacher until her retirement in 1978.
      Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte McFarlane of Sandy and Mary McLaughlin of Portland; a sister, Julia Hatter of Tennessee; a brother, James Haynes of Texas; and three grandchildren.
      Arrangements by Gresham Memorial Chapel. Remembrances to the Oregon Food Bank in Portland.
