  • Notes 
    • Samuel was a coal miner, a farmer, and a well-man. When the neighbors wanted a water well, they called Sam McQuisten. Naturally, Lucretia had to use water hauled in a barrel from the mineral springs at New Helena, and snow melted in the wash boiler in the winter.
