    • Lived at Fosterville and near Manchester, Coffee County, Tennessee. 19 January 1880 he left for Arkansas and located in Izard County, between the Black and White Rivers.
      1882, bought a farm just south of Oxford, Arkansas on the old Military Road that was made to transport the Indians from their old homes, to what was to be Indian Territory.

      Married Maranda Harvell Powell on 3 Feb 1856 in Bedford Co., Tennessee. Father of James Harvell, Marguerite Jane, Mary Eliza, Nancy Frances, John Thomas, Walter H. and William H. (twins) McCuistion.
      James McCuistion served with the Confederate Army during the Civil War being wounded at Murfreesboro and Chickamauga and surviving both times. He was a school teacher in Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas. Left Coffee Co., Tennessee for Izard Co., Arkansas on 19 Jan 1880.
