- BARBARA MCQUESTON OBITUARY
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara (nee O'Connor) on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the Guelph General Hospital just 3 days short of her 87th Birthday.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Jack McQueston. Survived by her children Don (Chris), Karen (Matthew), Dave (Donna) and Alison (Peter). Barb was a loving grandmother to Breanna Wilson (Fraser), Marla Horton (Mike), Blair Cuthbert, Connor McQueston and Jack Adamson, as well as her great-grandson Taylor Michael. Barb is survived by her sister Carol Gregory (George).
Born in Timmins on September 29th, 1935, Barb grew up in Toronto. She married Jack in June,1955 and raised their children in Aurora. For much of her their lives, Barb and Jack enjoyed special times creating memories with family and friends at their summer cottage on Lake Kawagama. Barb was special to all who knew and loved her. She was compassionate, supportive, dignified, curious, intelligent and a true lady! Barb was always welcoming and she and Jack offered warm hospitality, conversation and laughter when you arrived at their home. She will be deeply missed.
Many thanks to the staff and residents at Riverside Glen where Barb had made many good friends and felt safe and comfortable these last 5 years.
As per Barb's final wishes there will be a small private service for immediate family.
