Gordon Evert Seigrist, 62, of Sherwood, Ark., born May 9, 1949, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Benton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Thelma Seigrist. Gordon is survived by his wife, Karen, ten children, Michelle Denley and partner Sherry, Chicago; Kimberly Denley, North Little Rock; Shawn Seigrist and wife Kimberly, Cabot; George Seigrist and wife Sharon, Little Rock; Angela Byrd, Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; Amanda Byrd and Jen, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Philip Seigrist and wife Crystal, Little Rock; Sean McClain and wife Leah, Cincinnati, Ohio; Tasha Rice, Little Rock, and Gordon Seigrist Jr, and fiancée Brandi, Viburnum, Mo. Gordon is also survived by his siblings, Harvey Seigrist, Ward; Leola Stafford, Ward; Lloyd and Georgia Sills, Vilonia; Dusty and Delores Sutterfield, Sherwood; Van and Jenifer Seigrist, Ellington; James and Debbie Butler, Bald Knob; Curtis and Hope Conley, Ward; David and Debbie Seigrist, Jacksonville; Ralph and Ruie Pope, Cabot; Ricky and Marilyn Seigrist, Jacksonville; Darrel and Linda Pierce, Sherwood; Doug and Melissa Seigrist, Beebe, Noble and Caroline Seigrist, Jacksonville; Allen Seigrist, Sherwood, and Tony and Christina Seigrist, Sherwood, and twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main Street, Jacksonville, Ark. Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., on Thursday, March 22, at New Life Missionary Baptist Church, 126 West Drive, Benton Ark. followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy. 5 N, Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice and the Sherwood Police Department.
