      "Tom/Tommy"

      Thomasson “Tom/Tommy” Lee Durke of Allen, Texas passed away on September 4, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 68.  He was born on June 6, 1949 to Robert Lee and Brooxie (McCuistion) Durke in Port Arthur, Texas.  Tommy married Linda Jo Gentry on March 15, 1975 in Dallas, Texas.  He was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Allen. 
      Tom is survived by his son, Taylor Lee Durke and wife, Alyson; granddaughter, Sadie Eleanor Durke; grandson, Harrison Lee Durke all of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Gail Garrett and husband, David  of Nederland, Texas; sister-in-law, Carole Sherman and husband, Ron of Norman, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Susan Martin of Searcy, Arkansas; nieces, Laurel Strickland of Sugarland, Texas, Allison Sherman of Houston, Texas and Morgan Sherman of New York, New York; nephews, Steve Garrett of Houston, Texas, Jarren Garrett of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jathen Garrett of Nederland, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
      He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Durke, Jr.; stepmother, Betty Durke; mother, Brooxie Grisham; step-father, Bob Grisham; wife, Linda Jo Gentry Durke; and his son, Jordan Thomasson Durke.
      A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in Allen.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

       Jordan Thomasson Durke, age 37, of Allen, Texas, passed away on February 28, 2017.  He was born June 13, 1979 in Dallas, Texas, to Thomasson Lee and Linda (Gentry) Durke.  Jordan was a graduate of Allen High School, Class of 1997.  He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance; while at the University of Mississippi, Jordan was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He later received his Doctorate in Law from St. Mary’s University.  Jordan was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Allen, Texas. 
       
      He is survived by his father, Tom Durke of Allen, Texas; brother, Taylor Durke and wife Alyson of Atlanta, Georgia; niece, Sadie Eleanor Durke; and nephew, Harrison Lee Durke. 
      Jordan is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Gentry Durke. 
      A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery.  The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.

      Linda Gentry Durke, age 68, of Allen, Texas, passed away July 23, 2013, at home in Allen. Linda was born January 18, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Readus and Gerry Gentry and graduated from Longview High School in 1963. On May 1st she had been employed with Half Price Books for twenty years.
      On March 15, 1975, Linda married Thomasson Durke and they have two sons, Taylor and Jordan, whom they were dedicated to rearing and supporting in their activities, especially athletic endeavors. The Durkes have resided in Allen for thirty-five years. They were charter members of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Allen.
      She is survived by her husband, Thomasson Durke of Allen, Texas; sons, Taylor Durke and wife, Alyson of Atlanta, Georgia and Jordan Durke of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Sadie Durke and Harrison Durke, both of Atlanta, Georgia; mother, Gerry Gentry of Searcy, Arkansas; sisters, Susan Martin of Searcy, Arkansas and Carole Sherman and husband, Ron of Norman, Oklahoma; nieces, Allison Sherman of Norman, Oklahoma and Morgan Sherman of Dallas, Texas; and an uncle Lyndle Gentry of Searcy, Arkansas.
      She was preceded in death by her father, Readus Gentry and brothers, Paul Gentry and Jerald Gentry.
      Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
