      Mabel Viola McQuiston, 84, of Dutch Ridge Road, Ellwood City, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, in her home following a brief illness. She was born on April 15, 1922, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret White. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray E. McQuiston. She is also survived by her loving extended family, Bob and Barb Leonhardt; Jimmy Leonhardt; Julie, Todd and Jordan Radzyminski; Pat and Jon Reno; Gwen, Shawn and Brandon Reno; Ernie and Judy Mallory; and Ernie, Larry, Austin, Alexis and Kayla Mallory. She retired from the former Ellwood City Knitting Mill. She enjoyed gardening, farming and spending the winters in Florida. Mabel will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her family and all who loved her. She was preceded in death by a brother, Norman White. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Hockenberry of Harmony Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County, 1211 Wilmington Ave., New Castle 16105.

      Raymond E. McQuiston, 84, of Dutch Ridge Rd., Ellwood City, PA died on Friday, April 9, 2010, at his residence following a brief illness.
      He was born May 10, 1925 in Wayne Township at the farm where he resided, the son of the late Fred Henry and Bertha Agnes Brown McQuiston. He was married for 59 years to the late Mabel Viola White McQuiston, when she passed away March 31, 2007. Ray retired from St. Johns Trucking Co. He was also a self employed well driller and farmer. He enjoyed gardening, farming and winters in Florida. Ray will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his family and all who loved him.

      He is survived by his loving extended family, Bob and Barb Leonhardt, Jimmy Leonhardt, Julie, Todd, Jordan, and Brayden Radzyminski, Pat and Jon Reno, Gwen, Shawn, and Brandon Reno, and the Ernie and July Mallory family. He is also survived by two sisters, Ruth and Helen.

      He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Norman McQuiston.

      Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.

      Funeral services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home on Monday, April 12, 2010, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Hockenberry, of Harmony Baptist Church, officiating.

      Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Jameson Hospice, 1211 Wilmington Ave., New Castle, PA 16105.
