She was born September 6, 1926 at Japton, Arkansas the daughter of John Henry and Amanda Palestine Eubanks McChristian. She was a lifetime member of the Japton Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Leo Yelvington on August 21, 1990. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Kay Yelvington of Huntsville, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Jim Ferguson of Wesley, Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Couch of Wesley, Arkansas and Mrs. Lucy O'Neal of Elkins, Arkansas; three grandsons; two granddaughters; five step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11th in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with C.J. Jackson, Minister officiating. Interment will be in the Eubanks Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
