      McChristan Rites Are Held Monday
      Mrs. Porter McChristian passed after a sudden illness last Thursday night at Brewster hospital and funeral services were held on Monday, March 30, at the Pateros Church of Christ.
      Rev. Francis Adams conducted the services and burial followed at the Pateros cemetery. Gathering together with Mrs. McChristian for the services were the members of the family which include Mr. and Mrs. Richard Whiteman (daughter, Lexie) and their three children, who drove up from Stockton, Calif., on Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Scherrer (daughter, Vivian), and two children, from The Dalles, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hull (Vicky), of Azwell and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bryant (Velma) and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gebbers (Vina) and son, Ancell McChristian, of Pateros.
      Dinner for the family was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bryant, of Starr Ranch, following the funeral services. Mr. McChristian plans to return with the Whiteman family to Stockton next Saturday, to visit for awhile.
