      Son of Andrew(1790-1867) & Sarah Hemphill McQuiston. Brother is William H. McQuiston, and sisters include Sarah Isabelle McQuiston Dickson, and Mary McQuiston Wright. First wife was Mary E. McKinstry (1839-1873); 2nd wife Belle Hemphill (1845-1889).
      Andrew Jackson was President 1829-1837. An original presumption in family history was made (but not proven) that middle name was 'Jackson' in that honor, during this time period.
